The day before a special event can sometimes be nerve-racking and more tense than enjoyable. However, sometimes the opposite is true and the long planning and preparation cease, thus allowing a night to cut loose and light-hearted emotions to saunter thru the door. In fact there is a certain art to putting 100 or so people in the same place after days of traveling and coordinating, then letting them loose on an open bar. It is a night full of reunions and old stories. A time for parents to brag about the adults their children have grown to be all the while fighting back tears brought on from nostalgia. Most important though, a rehearsal dinner on a wedding eve allows for the perfect opportunity to remember all of the people who played a part in bringing those two people together; a sense of hope for those yet to fall in love and a rejuvenation for some in need. When done right, everyone can sleep well and celebrate the couple to be on the wedding day as intended.
Telluride, CO is a special place and when people get married there, it gives those in attendance a chance to experience something they may have never had the chance before. The area has a way of putting everyone in a good spirit and filling them with a sense of awe. Emily and Kyle enjoyed an intimate dinner at La Marmotte, a superb little french restaurant full of warmth, staffed by an awesome crew, and serving an amazing cuisine. Then they had all of their friends and family join them as they celebrated late into the night and eventually early morning making that block in Telluride their own. Well done indeed.
